I have a VERY narrow garage door I have to drive through every day to park my FRS. Pulling in, I use my mirrors as indicators of where I am in the doorway, so they're pretty safe... but backing out is more difficult. I figure it's only a matter of time before one of these days I'm going to be rushed, or distracted, or driving angry, and I'll end up hitting one of my mirrors on the wall.

When that day comes, rather than replacing the expensive OEM plastic or painted pits, I'm planning on buying these. I love the way they look, but can't justify the expense or losing the utility of the stock mirrors for no good reason (even to myself).

It's a simple job really, unbolting factory mirror from inside and disconnect power cable. The GT3 bolts directly to stock location using existing holes.

The only downside is those that love power and heated mirrors, it's now gone.

If I remember correctly, the GT3's also have blue lenses

Has anyone done these yet on the forum? Any idea of the weight savings?

The sideview mirrors on that car did not have blue lenses at SEMA, so it may be an option.
