the needles stay lit up?

i noticed the needles on the tach/speedo/gas/coolant stay lit up even during the day time, is this normal? never seen it like this on another car.

It was normal on my last few cars. Only cars that didn't do it were the GTOs.

Just makes it the needles easier to say in bright light. Notice they actually dim a bit when you turn the headlights on.
