So i just got back from Grand Cayman...while I was there, I spotted this Evo III. I noticed something funny sticking out of the hood....after a closer look, I saw it was a leading to the outlet of the BOV!

looks like a dump pipe aka open wastegate. Not a BOV. Im pretty sure that no BOV should be place there considering thats where the turbo/exhaust manifold is, most routed BOV are closer to the right hand (JDM driver side) on that car where the intake/cold pipe should be.

True that dump pipe , bov air is not hot so there is no need for hole

Nothing new in the turbo world. Mostly seen on the drag strip cars.
