OCD Drying Towels Break In and Care
Hey Guys,
This is addressed to all who have bought the OCD Drying towel. This towel is the stuff dreams are made of, that's right a blend of Polyester and Polyamide. Now that you are a proud owner of this great product there is a set to breaking them in before they are ready to use, this can actually be applied to any Microfiber product or towel that you purchase. Step 1. The Break In, your towels will have to be machine washed before they are ready to use on your delicate paintwork. You wash them because you don't know who has been touching them before you and they may contain dirt and debris. I used Tide Free (Unscented, Hypoallergenic detergent) but you can also use specialty brands MicroRestore and Chemical Guys MF Wash. ![]() Once you let it air dry (Never put in a dryer) then it's ready for use on your vehicle. Step 2: After a thorough wash, your vehicle will be ready to dry. Use the first towel to pick up any of the major water deposits on your paint, use the second towel to pick up any isolated water that may be dripping from things like the trunk or side mirrors area. I recommend pat drying the vehicle instead of dragging the towels across the paint minimize swirling and it the method seems to work better with this towel. If you car is OptiCoated/Guarded then water will run of the vehicle better and there will be less work for you to do ![]() ![]() Step 3: After use, inspect the towel to visually confirm there is no dirt or debris on the towel (Even the best of use sometimes miss a spot while washing or let the towel touch the ground) if there is go back to Step #1 if not store the towel in a dry area that will still allow air circulation but not let dust settle on the towel (Usually a cabinet or drawer of some kind) Closed Zip Lock bags are not recommend as Mold may begin to form on the towel. You should now be able to enjoy the shine for many years to come. ![]() ![]()
