VPS

Hi, anyone covered the front bumper and lights with vps or similar protection?
Just wondering what the cost is and if you could recommend a place in job. My car already has a few chips ... Need to prevent more.

Howzit, I was going to paste a thread on this as I got the quote and looked at it when purchasing and thought R5000, steep and opted to leave it, which I regret today as I have stone chips from a truck and due to the 86 being so low, every stone hits the bumper or even bonnet.
Just deciding if i am going to fit a aero kit And if not will re spray the bumper and fit VPS.
Anyone buying new, spend the money and get it done, would be my recommendation.
Ask SAV to send you pics he did bumper, lights and bonnet, could not tell there was film.

Yep, I've had the following covered in VPS:
-Full bonnet
-Full fenders
-Front bumper
-Headlights
-Indicators & Fogs
-Mirrors
-Top part of rear bumper

It was done by VPS Edenvale at a cost of R7500. I know it's not cheap but it's definitely worth every cent. I had it o n my previous car as well and it looked brand new when I sold it. It takes a pretty serious stone to leave a mark on the VPS so you can only imagine what sort of damage it would have done if it wasn't for the VPS.

I could post some pics but it would be pointless since you wouldn't be able to see that it was there.

I'm really considering it - the black shows every bit of sand that has passed it...

Does it shine when it is washed like a normal car, or is it dull and lifeless, like a plastic layer over one's car?

Nope it shines and you can polish and wax it just like normal paint.

Ja, can't c it. But that blows the money I had saved up for the audio upgrade. All about priorities?

Yep, easier to sort sound out later than a bunch of chips.

I just got a quote for R 18000. What a rip off. I should log a complaint to the consumer forum. People can be such chancers.

Also considering VPS.

Where to go?
Where not to go?
Which panels to cover?
Recommended price?
Alternative to VPS?
