Center console heated seats switch place cover

Saturday - is the day i ussualy spend working on my car - so it was up to make something once again Was really hating empty place in the center console - so as i had some left overs from CF plates - decided i will do a quick cover plate...

I had some 86 logo cut from vinil before (did some airbrushing) so i used one of these to get template:

Glued vinyl template on CF - and cut it over with dremel, drilled some holes with drill:

Using some really thin files sanded down in letter openings:

Removed vinyl, and oversanded everything with 800 wet grit:

As you saw in the earlyer photos i cut template for the center console opening from cardboard before - so i used this one to mark on CF exact shape. Use some masking tape - it will be easyer to mark shape on CF - and it will serve as protection while sanding:

After you get the right shape - oversand everything with 800grit wer also. After both shapes done - i used some glue to glue 86 logo on the plate.

To fill up lower space- i airbrushed my Logo on - and clearcoated everything. Will get pictures later how it looks installed in place

Nice work. I want to do something similar with that area. Would you mind sharing the measurements of the bigger piece?
