*Auto* Light from windows flash on driver's door

just noticed that, last time i took the car, both windows switch were flashing on my driver's door. and the auto up/down didn't work for the driver side, and the switch for my passenger window didn't work at all.

the switch on the passenger side worked alright, and didn't flash... anybody had that?

There are other, me to, who had the problem. Pull window all the way down, then all the way up and hold switch for 10 seconds. Repeat on passenger door. Then it should work as normal Worked for me!

Just happened to me this morning. It was 19 degrees out and I think the windows were frozen a bit because they didn't auto roll down when I opened the doors. Then they lights on the switch were flashing all the way to work. Did I see somewhere on here that the dealer can shut the "auto" roll down when the doors open? Im concerned about the ice issue this winter.

You're saying you saw someone could do this through software change? I heard of window tint places some how keeping the button in the door jamb down (to keep window from going up and down when you open) but I'd be interested in a way to do it through software as well for the winter!

Can you imagine the strain on the motor opening/closing door after freezing rain?

Exactly, I don't think it would be good for them at all. Im swear I saw a thread about it. They were able to have the dealer turn off the auto down feature with a scan tool I think...

Good thing I looked at this thread last night because it was in the 20s when I left my house this morning, and had this exact same thing happen.
