I used to have a celica ... i feel disgraced every time i see that video... and what kind of shit exhaust did they use?

What's the point? These types of modifications don't improve the performance or looks of the car...

Well, to play the devil's advocate here-- in this situation, everything is entirely subjective.

To go even further, i'd say that this involves the lofty realm of ethics involving instrumental value and intrinsic value. Additionally, the quote "If it brings excitement, enjoyment, and gratification, who's to say it's not worth it?'' comes to mind here. And there are situations where an object (physical or abstract) is only valued by the (proverbial) owner solely by his/her exclusive ownership.


That being said, i think it's safe to say i've read a bit too far into this video and the responses to it. Rest assured, i agree with the mass that it's a repugnant and repulsive thing to do to a vehicle; i just can't bring myself to fully endorse this sort of potentially hurtful, negative disposition.
