Winter weather - oh yea
Today, Northern Kentucky area, I was dying to get out for a ride. Despite semi drizzle conditions... with patches of dry road I went out.
About 15 min into and just starting to hit some familiar twisty paths... rain.. bummmer  . Well, I am not interested in pushing the wet on public roads, therefore was just going to finish and head back to the shack. Bam, a mild hailstorm hit . No place to hide, looking for a good size tree to get under, or bridge, nada,zip, zilch and squat. Now I notice the road conditions are??? Holly crap, I am driving on ice marbles all across the blacktop. Ass end feeling squirrely, hmm how bad is it, tap the throttle and whoooa moma. Ass was coming out good. This is with all the gizmos on. Ofcourse this is ice marble hail, I doubt snow would be this bad. Made it home no issues and quick check in the rain, paint seems ok. |
