The H1 weighs 200lbs. One 2JZ is what, 400lbs? Yea...I'll take the H1, especially in a lightweight track day car where low-end grunt is less important.

Terrible image quality, but the sound is there....oh. yeah.

I would love this engine! Having ridden a Busa, and a Busa engined mini (Original, not BMW crap)
2 (i.e. the V8) of them would be EPIC, especially in a car like the AE86 or FT86!

Doesn't the Ariel Atom V8 have a 3.0L version of this that makes 500hp? :O

You've got the wrong engine. Radicals run Powertec V8's (which are still hayabusa based though)

A V8 from two busa engines is nothing "new" but it's good to see a "production" version

When the case can be made for a single busa swap into a Miata, the V8 would be amazing.

I think the iron block BP weighs around 400# where LS engines are only slightly heavier. But who's seriously going to throw a $30k engine into a Miata? Unless I win the lottery...

Even though it's only 1 2JZ, that still reminded me of this:

I love the idea of a small displacement V8. In the 1950s, Fiat produced a 2.0L V8 (called the Topolino, I think), which was under the hood of the Siata 208S.

As cool as it is... I can think of dozens of ways to get 400hp out of a 200 pound engine. Some of them actually account for me wiping myself with hundred dollar bills for an extended period of time.
