Why is it so hard for dealers to get orders right?
Today was the day, I was finally getting my car. But of course once I get the call I hear what I feared worse. They had tint and the spoiler installed, after I told them all I wanted was fogs and bespoke. I'm about to go down there and try to either work things out or order a new one. I just hate that I have to wait. I've already been approved the amount that I would have left out the door.. But now the price is jacked up. I well I guess I'll keep you guys posted.

Well, firstly because it's a new car and they want to get away with as many markups as they can, and second, because dealers suck and don't do anything in the best interest of the customer.

First, they have the fogs to install?
I think you just got a bad dealer. My dealer got me my car exactly as I ordered it, with no options. |

Many dealers are the scum of the Earth with markups. The 2012 135i I just bought, the dealer had installed tints the day before I took delivery. Thankfully they listened when I said I wasn't paying for them, but I still ended up removing them at a cost to myself.
Walking away is always an option before the paperwork is signed. |

There are no dealerships that care about you. They only care about getting money and it does not matter where it comes from.. It sounds like you could have a case though if you have a non-refundable deposit since they will have to pay for the parts or the repair caused by removing them. If you have a contract to purchase the car with a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. If you have some money down that will come back to you they are not required to sell you the car or even order the car you want.

Yea they were about to install fogs in about an hour.
I think they're trying to squeeze out some extra money from me too. I'm on my way there now. I'll update soon |

Ok turns out the dealership didn't screw me over too bad. I didn't want the spoiler because to my knowledge it was going to be the oem one. Turns out they actually have the Five axis one I was going to buy anyways.. Of course it's more expensive than if I bought it direct. And now I'll be headed back up there in about 5 hours to see how the fogs turned out and to negotiate with them on pricing since they got my order wrong. My sales guy sounds like he will get me some kind of discount.

Yeah, it doesn't sound like this dealer got the order wrong, per se. He's just trying to screw you. If any dealer did that to me I would walk away from the deal and be very vocal about how I work at a local/national news station.
I wouldn't take if even if they offered to remove the tint/spoiler. It sounds like they are playing you for as much money as they can get! |

Your already letting them off the hook F that! They did not get your order wrong they ordered shit on purpose that you did not want so they could charge you more money for it. Don’t forget and don’t puss out or they will just keep doing it to everyone. Call your rep tell them to take the shit off or get you a different car. If you handle this right you should come out ok if you puss out they will F you over. Tell them you will pay $100 for the tint and 25% under your cost for the spoiler. If not tell them you need to talk to the rep not any one at the dealership THE REP for your area! |

Tell them to keep their car and go to a different dealership (do not reorder from them). This has to stop.

Lol man you guys are brutal. But no I'm not going to puss out. I'm keeping the spoiler but I will get it at a discount or not at all and I refuse to pay for tint. Just a lil back story, it was originally coming to port for another dealership and it had these options already on it (tint, trunk mat, & spoiler). I told them all I wanted to get was bespoke and fogs, and they assured me that it was changed in the system... Then I get the call today and they didn't "catch" it in time and all the options were added ALONG with the bespoke that originally wasn't suppose to be on. So yea they're trying to screw me but I won't let them. I'll update you guys in 3 hours when I go talk to them.
