Toyota 86/BRZ vs Toyota Celica SS-III
Hi all,
I'm tossing up between whether I want to go to the trouble of importing a sixth generation Toyota Celica SS-III (3S-GE BEAMS - 197 HP, 206 Nm Torque which is pretty much the same as the Toyota 86) or basically pay 4 times the price for an 86 or BRZ next year. Does anybody have any experience with the SS-III version of the Toyota Celica? Obviously given its age now, it'll be down on power and torque, but even as a point of comparison it's interesting how close the numbers match up! I would imagine the 86 would still beat the Celica given RWD and more neutral handling. |

I've owned a 6th gen gt-s for 2 years.
The 86 is a LOT more fun on a daily basis. The celica is a very light car, its somewhere around 2500-2600 lbs and feel like so too, did you look at the gt-four's? |
