M3 Vader Seats on Fr-s?

I am looking to change the stock seats on my Fr-s for the M3 Vader Seats, but before I actually buy them I want to know if I will have any issues with the airbag sensors, rails or other stuff that I am not aware of. For those people that have changed the seats in your previews cars for racing seats or just different seats from another car. Please Advice!-Tnx

You probably will have to buy new seat rails for the M# seats because they are going to have a different mount. And the airbag sensors will probably not work as well. Also, if their are airbags in the M3 seats then you need to find a way to remove them or hook them up to the current airbag system in your FRS.
Another thing, these M# seats aren't going to match anything in your car so you will want to take them to be re-upholstered if you care about that sort of thing. I would recommend you just buy a set of Recaros or Brides instead, they will be less trouble in the end.

I also like the Recaro seats that come in the new Ford Focus ST but iguess I will have to go through the same process as with the Vader seats so I will probably just keep stock ones. -Tnx

Vaders look cool and are comfortable for tooling around town, but I prefer the shape of the seat in the FRS/BRZ for autocrossing and spirited driving. In the M3 it felt like I was sliding around, but the BRZ just holds me in place. Also, I can vouch that the FRS/BRZ seat is more comfortable for long distance driving. The cloths seats are also way more liveable when it's very hot or very cold out.

The Vaders are heavy seats. Why add unnecessary weight?

I love the way stocks seats hold you in place but I feel like my shoulders are being pushed forward by the bolsters when I am trying to chill. Vader seats are a little wider.

I doubt these seats would be as supportive as stock seats

I'd say go with black then. Or hurricane cloth if you can get your hands on that unobtanium.

They are heavy. Some of the E30 M3 guys ask from time to time about swapping stock for vaders and they are advised about the weight gain with them. If you can get a set to weigh, it would be interesting to see the difference.

Gross. If I put any other OEM seats in the car they'd be Evo X Recaros:

I'd get some bride seats or recarsos like others have suggested. The will fit easy. Otherwise if you really want seats out of another car. The above seats are out of a black series... they would look nice, and the color combo would even work.

Pretty sure those are just Racaro Sportster CS seats with nice Merc trim.

Which are basically the best "sport" seat out there IMO.

First, of I have about 20k worth os seat time in vaders, almost died in one. Second, they are super heavy, super duper duper heavy. Third, the stock frs/BRZ seat will hold you way better. Not to say vaders aren't awesome, just a down grade from your already Oem seat.
