Ironic! Less than 24 hrs. since TSB
As of yesterday I had 1900 miles on my car. I have had the crickets chirping since about 350 miles. I have had my car at a stop light and the idle dropped on just a couple of occasions. I have noticed that regardless of the gas that I used the chriping has only seemed to get worse.
Yesterday on my way home from work the car was fine, of course the engine chirping was there, but the car was running fine and I haven't had my idle drop for a couple weeks at least. I pulled into my driveway, pulled the emergency brake and the idle dropped to 400 rpms and the car started to shake. I rev'ed the gas a bit then let it go to see if it did it again and it did. I turned the car off and decided that tomorrow was a new day and I would drop my car off at the dealer tomorrow. This morning on my way to work, less than a mile from the house, the check engine light came on. Car seemed to run a little sluggish, but it could have been in my head. I have since taken the car to the dealer and got a loaner. I also took a copy of the TSB in with it. I was told they would look into and give me a call later to let me know more details. I guess we will see how this goes! |
