Galaxy Blue - NZ

Has anyone got any pictures of an actual Galaxy Blue 86 in NZ?

I'm thinking of changing my order, but the toyota website has a poor colour representation.

It seems to range from a Sti type blue, through to a dark purple-ish blue...

Tornado Greys I believe are coming in the November shipment.

Not quite in NZ but here is a pic of my Sonic Blue GTS. The colour is fantastic. In the shade it's a nice deep blue, in the sun - wow, so much metallic flake it's brilliant.

I went back into the dealer and they still had the Blue one Firefly saw. Its not a demo though, its a customers car that is waiting to be picked up. But, their new demo was there (to replace the red one that was written off) It's a black one.

After looking at them both for awhile, I have decided to change my order to Black. It seems that there are different variations of colours, as I have read many comments on this site that the Black was far too metallic. This car had very little metallic flake (good thing)

Their new demo is a base model too, which is good, as thats what I've ordered. Love the interior, it's much simpler.





Can't believe they got another auto as a demo. The blue one was a manual and I convinced them to let me sit in it, I'd only sat in an auto up until then. Feels nice, and despite my size 14 shoes I could heel toe, which I was doubting whether I would be able to or not. Steering wheel does need to come out about another inch to be perfect for me, I'm sure something will be available for this soon.

So relieved that there was a black one there. Very happy.

I prodded the sales man for more info about their other sales. To date, they have sold 9 in Christchurch. 8 in town, and 1 at Ilam (me). Most if not all buyers are male, late 40's - mid 50's. One young guy, (didn't stipulate) and a business purchase (me). They have sold 4 red, 2 orange, young guy got a black one, and two white ones. One of the white ones is mine, that will now be a black one.
Appears to be no preference for manual or auto, I voiced my opinion that the car should not be offered in auto, he agreed.

Here's a grey taken in Wgtn.

I understand the reason a lot of the demos are either 86 in manual or auto, or GT86 in auto is the major shortage of GT86 in manual.

The demo at Rutherford and Bond here in Wgtn is black. Even though prof detailed already has micro scratches in it already - seem much more noticeable on the black. Put me off the black and made me glad I have a grey coming to replace the red I currently have.

I picked up my Tornado Grey GT86 manual on 31/09. Its really hard to get an idea of the colour from photos but I will take some this weekend (weather permitting) and post shortly.

You really need a good sunny day to get the best idea of the colour.
