Dear Mr Bailey,

Thank you for your recent email, received by the Toyota Customer Experience Centre.

We are pleased to hear of your interest in the new upcoming Toyota FT-86. Toyota Motor Corporation Australia are expecting to release the Toyota FT-86 in mid 2012, of which brochures and vehicle specifications would become available. We recommend to regularly visit the Toyota website for any updates.

Please accept our apologies for previously being advised that a brochure would be forwarded to you. Regrettably, we are unable to forward a brochure at this stage, as is not available until the vehicle is released into the market.

We also recommend that you contact your local Toyota Dealer sales department to register your interest in the Toyota FT-86. If you already have an existing relationship with a Toyota Dealer, you can find their contact details through our website. To access our Dealer Locator simply click on the following link, www.toyota.com.au/dealer.

Thank you for contacting Toyota and allowing us the opportunity to respond.

Kind Regards

I am wanting to express my full interest in pre-ordering an FT-86.

But before I go ahead with that would like to know some details.

Such as a ball park figure for the car.

it would be 40% cheaper that that for the US my guess.

This is the same price as the MX5 in Australia!!!

The whole time they have been saying this will be a affordable sports car... I would say this isn't affordable i was hoping 35k fully loaded drive away!

Boy was I dreaming!

I'm praying that it's 45% less than $39,999 = $21,999 Which is more in line with the Mustang Base! Besides, at the base Miata price of $23,500 i think people would just say "meh, i'll just go buy a mustang V6 with the performance package for $24,000-ish and call it a day.

So: Toyota! Magical Starting price is $21,999 !
