Top Gear US: Toyota Love

The latest episode, Season 2 Episode 7 titled Beating Tanner, features the Lexus LFA and a cool little clip of Tanner talking about Toyotas sportscar history. He mentions the FT-86, 2000 and some their motor sport victories. Tanner is obviously a big Toyota fan, I wouldnt be surprised if we see the FRS in season 3 of that show.

Probably the best episode of that show so far other than the Americas Toughest Truck episode in season 1 where they drive through Alaska.
Tanners Rally Ford Fiesta broke the in-door land speed record and he tries to drift a full size bus. Check it out.

Yeah this was an awesome episode. Forza 4 looks great too, can't wait for it to come out.

I still think the UK version of Top Gear is way better. But the Us version is getting better slowly.

I think both shows are very hit-or-miss. It's been a LONG time since Top Gear UK had a season that was good all the way through. The guests on pretty much all the shows are boring. I actually wish it was a bit more of a car review show with a bit less fluff. I love the car history stuff. I also enjoy some of the challenges. I really enjoyed most of season 1 of Topgear US but the second season was 60% boring. I'm not a truck guy...

Fifth gear is better, but has worse personalities. Fifth Gear with Hammond, Clarkson, and May would be pretty sweet.

UK is still the better show, but US has been a lot more entertaining in the second season and Tanner FINALLY doesn't seem like he's made of cardboard.. and they may have stopped scripting his lines, he seems a lot more natural now when he's talking.

I watch top gear for entertainment, not car reviews though... I don't think the "reviews" they do are worth anything.

It isn't as of yet. They are slowly unveiling the car list via twitter.

My guess is that it will be available as DLC once it is officially announced. I don't think they would have the car in the game in October when it isn't supposed to be unveiled until December.

Yeah, 5th gear > top gear for me. 'The star in a reasonably priced car' shits me, and is a waste of half the show. I watch these shows for the cars, and 5th gear does the best comparisons for sure.

I'm going to have to start watching this then.

I'm torn on Forza 4 having the FR-S/BRZ before it's officially release. I want the most accurate version and could care less about the body.

People still watch Top Gear US?

I ditched that for The Car Show. Sooo much better. It's what Top Gear US SHOULD have been.
