Finally got her + BRZ available!

Originally, I placed an order with a local dealer around Mid August, with an ETA of Nov/Dec for a GBS Limited 6MT.

I sold my previous car much faster than expected, so I decided to do a little searching and see if there was anything that matched my ordered car.

Turned out there was!

Picked one up from Mitchell Subaru up in Connecticut. Thanks to Tim Miller & the rest of the crew for an easy experience.

I flew up to CT, and then drove the car back to Atlanta, so now it's broken in .

Here she is taped up and ready to go.

1,000 miles later, the tape held up pretty well!

Quick exterior clean to get the bug scum off, hoping to do the Wolf's hard body relatively shortly.

Loving the car so far, it's nice to have a 6MT again. It's gotten a ton of looks and thumbs up, and Galaxy Blue is phenomenal.

For anyone still looking, my original order will eventually be available at Troncalli Subaru of Atlanta, give Chris Wright a call if you're interested. He will take great care of you.

Wow WRB looks like a really close match to painters, tape, quite convenient!

Good job on keepin her safe for that ride down to ATL. Did you get a lot of looks based on the tape?

Welcome to the family!

Thanks!

Yea, I got a lot of quizzical looks from folks. Got some thumbs up from some kids though, it was funny.

Everytime I stopped for gas, people would ask me what it was, and what the deal with the tape is .

If I were you I would of said it was a new prototype car developed by Subaru and Toyota. You could say you were testing long distance driving and high way gas mileage

LOL - blue painter's tape, the new affordable alternative to matte blue vinyl.

Congrats! I am also getting a Limited GBS but with 6AT. Its coming in beginning of October. How many rolls did you use? Because I also will be driving the car back from West Palm Beach FL back to ATL. And also why did you also tape the sides in the back?

I bought the 3 inch x 180 ft roll, used most of one, a little bit of another.

Taped up the back to prevent any scratches from stuff coming off of my front wheels, or anything that flew over the hood towards the sides since they're flared a bit.
