AMSOil distributors in Aust?
Can anyone recommend a source for AMSOil here in Oz (or even better Brisbane). Planning on using Signiature series 0w20 full synth.
Oil opinions welcomed also. |

http://www.lubricationmanagement.com.au/shop/ is another
You can't go wrong with the Amsoil OE/XL 0w-20. You'll void your warranty using the signature series as it doesn't have an API or ILSAC rating. If you're in NZ you can get it from http://syntheticoil.co.nz/price-list...ewlist?catid=1 Why 10w-30 os86? The service schedule say use only 0w-20 or 5w-30. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...597#post401597 They obviously require a thin oil especially on start up. All a thicker oil is going to do is create more drag on the engine robbing it of performance & economy. Looking on the STi site they list 5w-40 which is just a generic oil they use across the range, it's not specific for the FA20. TRD is the same. http://www.sti.jp/parts/catalogue/br...8050ST060.html This would be fine on the track but to thick for everyday use. The latest FPV supercharged V8 run 0w-20 so I'd say a little 200hp 4cyl will be ok running it too. In theory you could run 0w-20, 5w-20, 0w-30 & 5w-30 but check the pds first Last edited by SXE10; 09-18-2012 at 11:21 PM. |
