Resist-All
Hey guys I've been keeping up with this forum for the past couple of months and finally have a question that's been nagging me. I just got my Firestorm FR-S a couple weeks ago and when I bought it I decided to get the resist-all for the paint. I took it in today and the gloss in the paint is definitely more noticeable. My question is what the difference is between resist-all and the opti-coat or clear bra I've been seeing on the forums a lot

ResistAll is just another brand of sealant... It has a 7-year warranty apparently, which is nice. I'm not sure how it compares to Opti-Coat but I suppose they do the same thing...
A Clear Bra is an actual clear plastic application that protects against rocks and things...

Alright makes sense, the car did come out really shiny after the service. Yeah the 7 year warranty was really enticing, especially for the leather. Got suckered into getting leather since it was the only red FR-S MT the dealer at the time. Thanks for the input

You need about 600 Resist All and some Life on Hit too.

What about JetSeal? The Chemical Guys seem very strong on it. Granted that they are resellers for it.

It's nothing more than my uninformed opinion but I consider all the wipe on, wipe off type of paint treatments to be nothing more than snake oil.

I wish I could get some snake oil. Just too damn expensive.

Resist-all aka cal-tex protective coatings will beat any "paint sealant" available. But it's not a coating like opticoat. Also don't get mustard in your interior, resist all doesn't protect against that, but great versus anything else.
