Upcoming ADSS and track day at NHMS

The White Mountain and Boston chapters of the BMWCCA are putting on a couple of events at NHMS in October. There's an ADSS on Sunday the 7th; this is an "Advanced Driving Skills School", with skid-pad, braking and autocross sections throughout the day. It's a ton of fun, and a great way to learn how your car will respond when things go pear-shaped. Cost is $85. I'll be volunteering. It's held in one of the parking lots next to the track.

Friday through Sunday, the 19th through the 21st, there will be a [url=http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/events/ultimate-calendarView.aspx?EventID=583] driving school on the road course[url]. Cost is $225 per day and you generally get 2+ hours of track time, plus classroom instruction. If you're a track novice, there's a $100 discount for the first day, and they generally want you to have taken the ADSS, first. Not sure if I'll be doing two or three days.

The BMWCCA runs some great schools. I've done most of my track time with them and I find them to be safe, fun, and have lots of seat time. Everyone has an instructor assigned to them; if you're a novice, they'll ride with you every session, and if you're soloed, they're available if you need or want them. You do have to be a BMWCCA member, but anybody can join (cost is about $40/year).
