With all due respect, Australia had high performance pickups for AGES

Eg fpv super persuit. 315kw, 550nm, top speed 250km/h(limited)
That's stock standard

Which? I'd take an Aussie V8 Ute or even the Ford F6 Typhoon over that F250 any day.

For those of you who can't tell size, the ute in the pic I Posted is 1.5m at the roof line.. It's by no stretch a hick mobile lol
It's basically size of a sedan like the pontiac gto
Here is a actual gto ute we have here (hsv maloo)

You guys in the states get the sedan version of this

And for size comparison next to a hilux

It's hardly a truck either. Unibody on a car platform. It's like a station wagon with the top cut off. I like it though.

Yep pretty much I think the station wagons are better looking, but the tradesmen here love themselves a V8 ute.

No you didn't get what I said. Most tradies I know have a commodore or falcon ute, but rarely do they have a maloo or a persuit for work purposes. I know one guy who uses a maloo for work, and he just drives it to and from work, OCCASIONALLY picking up some parts for the machine shop.
