My Favorite aspect of the FR-S/BRZ

Now that I have been blessed to be driving my car for 3400 miles I can safely say, the best and my favorite part of this car, is the driving position and the simplistic/very function dash and interior. These 2 elements combined make for a great experience. Toyota and Subaru nailed this perfectly! Any other standard sedan or semi sport(y) car just does not compare. My sisters boyfriend drives a V6 accord coupe. While its nice, pretty smooth, and plenty quick, I felt like I was driving a pig. Same with my several other cars. For another 15-20 years (I am 27 now) I know I will need to own at least one car like my FR-S (maybe it will still be my FR-S). It may not be my DD, but the feeling and connection I get with this car has been by far the best I have ever driven. :happy0180:

To me it's the size and sportiness. I like relatively small cars. My last 5 cars were a Suzuki Samurai, Honda CRX, Mazda Miata, Porsche 911, Mazda Miata. My new FR-S should be in this coming Saturday and that will be my small car #6.

Suzuki Samurai is a really fun car. You always know exactly what is going on in the road. When people say 200hp is not enough, they should try the Samurai with 64.

The windshield view beats the crap out of my Camaro and 370Z.

You can see a whole lot more of the sky. Oh and traffic lights.

i hear ya on the camaro, but it didn't bother me (2010) v6), ya get used to limited visibility
and i knew the gas would be an issue but thought i could handle it ok
by rockin' 6 gas cards! gotta tell ya, the gas cards got away from me,and i had to
unload it! loved that car though, but i was swamped with gas bills! the frs is much better than a new v6 camaro, and the fun factor is just as high if not higher!

My favorite aspect is that it seems to REALLY upset a few select members at Miata.net.

it may sound silly, but i love almost all aspects of this car, the seating position, the great interior, feel, handling. the only thing i don't like is useless rear seats, but i rarely have people riding in the rear anyways. i guess i would like to have a lot of room to transport stuff if necessary, but i weighed that option before purchasing and i'm very lucky to have my car, i feel.

I like being able to drive by instinct/feel, no "what the hell was that" you get with FWD.

I had a suziku Samari when I lived in Wisonsin and it would beat your kidneys to death. The hp was small on those but they had decent torque.

One FWD car I had that was somewhat of a "fit" for me was a diesel 85 Jetta. The damn thing really hugged the road. It was slow as all hell but had more low end torque than most 4 bangers those days. It seriously averaged 50 mpg.

The nice thing about the FRS is it has great handling and body to road angle. I am still under 1k miles, don't know what happens after 5k. Haven't really pushed it.

I did drive up a vey windy backwoods hilly road. It seemed like the engine was sort of stuck around 5k when I was pulling up a straight section of the hill (I think I was in 3rd about 50 mph.) Like the engine didn't have the HP to "bend the needle", probably just shifted up to 3rd too soon. Could have been my imagination, will know more after 1k.

its perfect in every way. Neets 40-50 more hp and it will be one of the best cars ever.
