funny story
So I have been an avid follower of the FRS...and ive been telling my gf that this car handles amazing. She did not believe me.
Last weekend, I took a Veloster Turbo and 3 other guys took their FRS for some canyon driving..so 4 cars total. The FRS smoked the VT on the curves and I explained to my gf that it's because the FRS handles MUCH better than the VT....(or it could of been the driver..but that story's for another time) This past weekend we swung by a Scion dealer and there was a white FRS for test drive. I let my gf test drive it and afterwards, she told me "I understand why you love this car..because I love it too now". She loved the handling, the size of the car, the car's feeling of being planted, etc. just wanted to share. Cannot wait to get a FRS...hardest choice is which color... /end rant Last edited by fitcious; 09-04-2012 at 08:14 PM. |

I would choose white or asphalt. I have an asphalt and I love the color, even when it's dirty it looks clean from a distance

Nice story.
Normally I prefer white cars but I don't like the pearl white that comes on the FR-S so I had to settle for red. Life is tough!!

FR-S vs. Veloster Turbo is an easy decision, and picking the color is the hardest part, you're right! I'd get Firestorm or Asphalt if I were getting an FR-S, but I'm getting a BRZ so Galaxy Blue/Ultramarine for me.

But in all honestly OP, I really enjoy the handling of this car. I haven't driven a lot of RWD cars much in my life. I drove a 300ZX for several months, a 944 Porche but the rest of my cars that I've owned have been Eclipse's, Civics and Integras. The RWD cars that I have been able to drive have been pretty much very planted cars with wide stock tires. The FRS drives very little like these cars. Hmm, I think I'm gonna post a thread about this...... Bye. |

I was talking to my uncle the other day about waiting on my FR-S and he started talking about how he wanted a veloster. I had seen the comparisons and I'm kind of biased for the FR-S so I mentioned how the FR-S was better. He started arguing about how the veloster would beat the FR-S and even challenged me to a race when we both have our cars, but I told him he'd beat me because I'm not a racer, not because the veloster is necessarily better.
