Painting the Emblems

Hello All,

I would like to paint the emblems on my Raven Black FR-S to look like this.
Name: Scion.jpg
Views: 5158
Size: 29.7 KB

Any thoughts on how to do this without making it look like crap?

PlastiDip the logo and then paint on the latex? The Plastidip is a matte finish though but at least its all 100% reversible.

I'd find some red epoxy paint, put it into a syringe and fill the SCION part of the emblem. This stuff self-levels and is damn near indestructible. For the metal part, any old paint will do. There are epoxy-based spray paints, so you could do the smoking with that and then come behind with the syringed red epoxy paint.

Reverse that on a Raven would look good i think.

Or as is on a Firestorm.

I did mine like this but where the red is, I put white. Used a syringe for it. It'll come out sloppy st first, just have to touch it up with brushes and small tools. Mine turned out great. I can put up pics tomorrow if you'd like

Well that's sexy...if someone just wants to make a few of those I'd rather just buy them off you than do it on my own.

Just saw this now, I'll put up pictures tomorrow. S far as tips go, just spray whole thing black, let dry, then take syringe (or could use a toothpick or something thin, and supply the white, then take black and clean up with brush, then clear. Its kind of hard to explain. It just takes patience lol i got frustrated bc I thought they'd come out sloppy but if you take your time and clean them up, you'll get it. Ill post pics tomorrow!

Paint it black, then use a pinstripe brush to color in the text. Then clear it.
