Brakes and Emblems

I had my brakes painted red and emblems blacked out. Great work by the painter - while I used the VHT paint recommended on another thread, I didn't trust myself to pull the wheels, tape things off, and paint properly. Some things it's worth paying to have done right. This was one of them!

The brakes are red and the clear coat actually does make a difference. They're shiny, but not ridiculously so. If you look, you see the red and I think it contrasts well with the wheels and with the Ultramarine paint.

I also had the emblems blacked out. They just seemed too shiny in the chrome, but they look great here. Ideally, I'd have the engraved "Scion" in blue or red, but I think this black is subtle. The back one could be pulled altogether, but the hood is seemingly built around the emblem, so I think it would look strange completely debadged.
