I've had the issue come and go several times, sitting at a stop light and the idle goes between 500 to 700 rpm(up and down and up and down).

Less so recently

Could you add what fuel you are using also? It seems that some people are trying to see if the fuel you are using contributes to the issue.

I have not had an issue and I've only used Shell 91 or Chevron 94.

Ultramar 91 and petro 94 once always had the issue. When i installed a light crank pulley, it went away for a week or two and came back. Whatever as long as it doesnt stall

I do have idle dipping/changing in 700-500rpm range. Never under 500 like some videos show on the site. Gas is Shell 91. I'm taking the car to the dealer in a couple of weeks when I come back from my vacation and will be mentioning this. So far, I am far from impressed with the so called made in Japan "quality", nothing major to break down, but the car is really annoying with its tiny problematic bullshit.

I'll have to weigh in on the same point once I've owned the car for a while, since it will be the first import vehicle I've ever owned. My dad worked at the Toyota plant (TMMC) in Cambridge and would never shut up about Toyota quality while all I owned were GM vehicles (and one temporary Chrysler), and when I told him I was getting an FR-S, he said "Subaru is good too". This will be the eighth car I've owned in about ten years of driving, so I should have some decent input.
