two stupid questions about the FRS HU and speakers
1. can you replace the nav/radio in the BRZ with an FRS HU (NOT the bespoke one)?
2. are the speakers the same in both cars? No commentary/flaming/otherwise idiot remarks on why someone would want to make this swap. It's my car and I'll cry if I want to. Thanks. |

I'm pretty sure they're interchangeable, I haven't been inside the BRZ to compare the dimensions but I'm sure the dash pieces are the same besides the colors

Why would you want to do that and lose all the features that the BRZ NAV provides? Is it because the FRS has a 300-watt system vs the 196-watt in the BRZ and you're thinking thats where the power comes from. The HU And if you swap it you'll get an additional 104 watts of power?

NO, I was not thinking that, but now that you brought it up, will I get the same sound out of the FRS radio if I put it in the BRZ? Since the only difference would be the HU. please no stupid remarks if you can't answer the question seriously. |
