Front speaker sizes and how to add amp to factory headunit on FR-S
So I'm getting an FR-S and I like how the stock stereo system works as far as BT/USB/etc.
I'm looking to add a good set of front speakers and a sub (probably the flushmount box that is on here from a vender for a 10in sub) so I was thinking of a 4 channel amp with 2 chan to the speakers and 2 bridged to the sub. I'd like to know what size front speakers to buy and the easiest way to add in an amp to the factory headunit. Thanks |

6.5" speakers with an adapter to mount them. Dash speakers are 3.5" and can be replaced with...well...3.5" speakers.
Add an amp with a line output converter to pick up signal, or use the RCA aout on the back of the OEM HU, if your model is equipped with them. |

3.5" speakers don't quite fit correctly in the front.

Case in point: a Hertz 3.5" coax that I saw in a thread here has nearly the same basket dimentions as a Kappa 4" coaxial. Thus, they fit similarly in the OEM location but are different "sized" speakers. |
