SubaSteve's CBS BRZ

Introduck
My names Steve and I've always been a car guy. Only recently have I started learning more and more about cars because I hate to be uneducated about things like this. I've been working at my current job(Starbucks) for atleast 2 and a half years. When I first started working there I made the decision to save all the money I would earn towards my first new car. About 8 months ago I had a friend point out the Brz and at the time I knew it was the perfect car for me. I wanted a Subaru but always hated the mpg on their AWD cars.

Plans for the future
TSW Nurburgring 18 Matte Bronze (I hate shiny wheels and black)
Some form of sticky tires to go on these(suggestions welcome)^
Upgraded audio(keep an eye out later for this)
Takeda Intake System(prolly gonna put on pulley same time)
Maybe some more serious items post warranty

Cars I've "owned" were a 95 integra and a 2003 VW Jetta.

You can see the integra to the left. I had an issue where the crank pulley got loose(most likely the crap auto shop we use to go to) and it wore down the end of the crankshaft. Cool thing was I sold it for 2k and the guy who bought it fixed it up for his brother coming back from Iraq.

My younger brothers car VW Cabrio.

My older brothers S2000.

Now onto my ride (no name yet).

What could this be....

Oh its my Greddy SP Elite axle back.

I figured why buy 160$ JDM tips when I could go ahead and pick up this.

Perrin 4" antennae.

Perrin License relocation kit.

Perrin pulley waiting till all these engine idle problems pass.

The goods that keep it SHINEE.

Did I say that I love Adam's polishes?

I'll add some youtube videos of the exhaust sound after it stops raining and its not dark out.

Welcome!

Good call on holding off on the pulley install until Subaru/Scion can figure out exactly what the idle fix will be and issue it for us...I've heard rumors of a Subaru reflash coming in September, and the cam gear/cel issue is still being investigated...

My dealership is pretty cool about me doing bolt ons like intake/exhaust. Exactly why I picked Annapolis subaru but I don't want to mess with something like this so SoA has nothing to blame.

If someone wouldn't mind showing me the code to embed on these forums that would be hot.

Installed the perrin shifter bushing last night.

Had my brother help me out. I'm the flash light holder....

To be honest this wasn't that hard to do.

The two side by side.

The old one was mostly metal with a rubber piece in the center.

All in all its definitely worth the 35 bucks I paid. It feels like the shifter pulls to the center more which makes shifting that much easier. Now all I need is a new shift knob perhaps a flossy?

Currently going back and forth with crutchfield about bringing my car in for R&D. Hopefully I can get this all setup within the next week. I'll post more info when I get it.

Bunch o updates gonna split them up into separate posts cause that's how I do.

So alot has been done to the car since I last updated. I worked for my dad and made some mad cash to spend on the car.

First up grimmspeed oil cap with a tie down strap to soon follow.

Upgraded all of the speakers and added an amp.

Trunk with back seats taken out.

Another angle with the seats out. Look at that tiny rear speaker.

LC6I getting wired in.

Shot of rear panel super easy to take out.

Tiny speaker is tiny.

I hate it when people don't take enough pics MOAR PICS.

Decided to put it on the back seat for now will move later.

Sexy distro block for future sub install.

Someone scratched my bumper whilst working for my dad. You would figure it was the nice part of town so they would own up. I guess when you have money you want to keep it at all costs....

So I had to tron up my car and get some of the scratches off.

The person had a plastic bumper so no paint transfer just a stupid wavy dent due to it being on the composite part.

Wondering why I said tron... green tape + black car = awesome.

Yey for black hiding scratches.

Maybe I should make the green stripes permanent?

Guess who got some FROG RIGHTS.

For 350 bucks you think they would give you a new plastic piece but oh no you get to drill in the stock piece sadface.

They atleast give you some nice wire taps.

Before

After we made the hole too big picked up a black washer to fill the gaps.

The white wire with blue tape on it is what you tap into no plug for some reason.

They give you new drls since it uses the stock harness and it powers both.
Old drls

New drls

Installed look from the back.

Lol bro helpin with the install.
