Any Subaru employees purchased or purchasing a BRZ?

Hey guys and gals,

Just wondering if anyone on here is a Subaru employee (in the U.S.) and has bought or is planning to buy a BRZ. Is there employee pricing available and if so, what is it? Did anyone's managers give them flak for stealing an allocation on a car that could otherwise be sold at full MSRP? Just curious. Our dealer has sold it's allocations for the year so I'd have to order next year anyway. My GM started here the same week as me so asking him is probably pointless. Thanks!

There's no VIP pricing, which I'm pretty sure is the same ordering program.

Can you elaborate? Or is the short answer just "no, you pay sticker, too"?

Employee pricing goes through the VIP Program. No VIP means no employee pricing.

However, that doesn't mean dealership employees pay MSRP, I'm sure dealers are willing to give their employees a break. Good dealers anyways.

Dealerships set the price for employee purchases, SOA offers money for employees that purchase a car (any Subaru).

The current amounts are:
$200.00 towards the purchase for regular dealers
$500.00 towards the purchase for Stellar Performance dealers

I got a great price from the dealer I work for and $500.00 from Subaru because we are a Stellar Performer.

Is that only for employee dealers though?

A guy a work with's wife used to work at Subaru of America (corporate), and still has friends there that they can get the VIP pricing through. He brought that up after I mentioned I'm looking at a BRZ, but some brief googling turned up several sources saying there isn't VIP pricing available.

Yes, that money is for employees of SOA or employees at any U.S. Subaru dealer.

The VIP pricing (for customers) is not (currently) available on the BRZ.
