Hyundai Sonata Syndrome
http://jalopnik.com/hyundai-sonata/
Looks like Hyundai still needs to add some more R&D instead of trying to pump out as many vehicles as they can.

That's disappointing news. I can't believe how that Sonata wanders off with only 700miles. Going down the highway must be right scary. Hyundai better take action on this, they've come so far in the last 10 years to have this screw up their accomplishments.

It's the tires, if you research a little further the Hankooks suck causing in imbalance. Here is a perfect explanation. http://www.hyundai-forums.com/t60420...pull-fix33.htm
Next!! My wife's Sonata SE tracks straight and her car has been great!

I'm sorry but a friend of mine has a new sonata and I love driving the thing. One of the things I like to futz around with when drivng a new car is the tracking. I haven't hnoticed any prblems like the video shows. I call bs, trying to slow their sales numbers by bad mouthing a quality car.

I just took the car on a 250 mile trip this weekend and I didn't have any problems. She's put over 15,000 miles on her car and we've already had it over a year. It has been a phenomenal car so far!

I'd still rather drive the dead-sexy Sonata than something imported from Detroit, even if it does want to play chicken with oncoming traffic every now and then. That's not a defect, that's moxy! And isn't the Sonata built in Alabama?

TBH, I may buy an Accent or Elantra when I pay off my Tundra in a few months. I'm definitely on the Hyundai band wagon. $15grand for a little 4door 40mpg car is great for something to drive around the east coast visiting family in. Last edited by 82mm 4g63; 08-01-2011 at 10:10 PM. |

Actually, I wonder if this has something to do with each individual car. I remember my father's 91 Honda Accord had this problem: steering always go to the right. But the mechanic simply cannot find the error (tires, mechanical, and whathaveyou). However, for all the other cars that I have driven (chevy, mazda, dodge, vw's and various rental cars) they do not have this problem at all. Pretty strange.
