At tip for the stock headunit

I'm sure most of you know about the "hidden" menu on our head units which allows you to change the startup text, subwoofer output, and car type. My head unit had my car type set to "TC" from the factory, and my speakers never sounded right. The treble was too harsh and the bass was overpowering the ability of the stock speakers. I changed it to "FR-S" and the speakers sound 100 times better. I wonder how many of our cars are defaulted to "TC". Here's how to check/change it:

1. Turn your head unit off with the power button.
2. Push and hold down the selector dial button.
3. In the menu that appears, select "CAR TYPE"
4. Press the selector dial until it shows "FR-S"
5. Hit back to exit the menu

While you're in the menu, you can also change the text the head unit displays when the car starts up with the "OPENING" option. Mine is set to "DONT CRASH"

1) Turn OFF the audio console.
- Press down the multiknob for options (I think it was hold down)
- Adjust the settings for TC to FR-S (I think all stereo headers are set to TC)
2) Turn ON the console
- Press the multiknob
- adjust treble, bass, fade, and the centering whatever its called option
^ lol
3) Set Aux device to 90% max audio for better audio quality
You're going to have to crack open your BeSpoke Manual

Been there...Don't recall anything about an opening message. Just surprising the stock radio would have that option when the bespoke does not. Oh well at least I have access to an app I'll never use lol.
