Wasupman's 2013 FRS for RallyCross

Hey everyone. I'm the original owner of this 2013 Scion FR-S purchased way back on New Years Eve in 2013. Currently based in Santa Ana, CA, I started competing in RallyCross with the San Diego Region SCCA (sdrscca). I've participated in a few HPDE at Willosprings, Buttonwillow, and Chuckwalla, but got completely sucked in to racing on dirt. I'll post updates here as they come in!

First day back in August, 2025. This was my first time racing on dirt. Lost a side marker and front inner fender liners.

Didn't take any pics of my car at the November event. It was a sunny day right after a couple days of shower. First group went through mud. I was part of the 2nd group that got to enjoy the harder packed course. The rear bumper got caught and ripped off the rear carbon fiber lip. Sold it off to FB mrkt.

January event at Ramona Faigrounds. Course was soft dirt w/ some grass. Huge ruts started to form which caused a few cars to debead and launch in the air. I changed my class from PR to MR for this year since I have plans to upgrade the car beyond Prep. I ordered Wedsport wheels and rally tires on Black Friday. Tires came in, but wheels were still swimming overseas... Oh! and the rear bumper got cracked from scooping dirt on a turn (gotta figure out how to stop that).

The Wedsports arrived and mounted with the tires (woohoo!). Added rear mudflaps and replaced side markers as well.

Just last weekend on February 28th, Saturday. Got to race somewhere in Temecula. This was just a practice day, but man that was a huge change from the flat gravel and dirt courses. It was a blast. Buut... remember that crack in the rear bumper? Yeah... it's sliced off now... Same thing happened to another 86 driver in nearly the same spot. Both of us have single-exit exhaust. I think the rear bumper is catching dirt because of the absence of the stock muffler. Going to raise my car about an inch or two as well. Any advice for this? Oh yeah, sidemarkers came off again. Not gonna replace them.

RIP bumper
