Difference Between Early 2013, & Late 2013 Cam Phasers
The parts listing that I'm seeing is telling me that there is a different part # for a car built from 03/2012-08/2013, and one built 09/2013-04/2014?
For an example the RH intake Camshaft Phaser for an early production car (built between 03/2012-08/2013), was originally designated part #003-05177, which somewhere along the line was superceded by #003-00284,....then that part # has been replaced by #003-11391. On the exhast side for the RH bank, the original Phaser was Part #003-05178, then superceded to #003-00285, and now has been replaced by #003-11392. Just trying to wrap my head around what is going on with all the changes/revisions? Was there an inherant problem/issue with these things that have forced them to make changes to the phasers, or is it just a change in parts suppliers/Or? It shows its interchangeable between quite a few years. I only pulled 1 part number. I do find it odd the years 16+ it skips, but then shows gen 2 fa24 car compatibility. I was under the impression based on what I know that it would just be 13-15.

I'm refering to the Cam Phasers, not the Oil Control Valves.

Oh the cam gear, yeah same deal. Those are the same 13-16. I believe the only changes on the 17+ is the reluctor plate for the cam sensor.
