New car or fix my brothers brz (Opinions)
Hey guys! I currently have a daily wich is a jeep gladiator but my brother gave up on his build after the bearings blew out.. he told me because the tuner floded the engine and he stepped on it without knowing? Idk but I wanna get me a car to work on and enjoy the weekends
Im between a "beat up" wrx and I say beat up because we all know these people dont take care of them.. for 5k-7k and risk it blowing on me Or fixing internals wich to exagerate I wanna say a full internal fix 5kish with labor He has a full blown turbo kit on it, so I would have to get a catch can and a oil cooler.. if I do fix it I wanted to keep it around 8psi or lower with e85 (my aim would be around 300whp I still have to do more research in terms of how strong stock internals are so if I aim for forged, it'll be more expensive Just wanted some opinions from people who maybe had the same dilema Sent from my SM-F936U1 using Tapatalk |

I would recommend buying the most stock vehicle and learn about cars along the way.

Probably post above is best advice. If you wan e85 and 300hp, stock engine will be fine. A full blown kit at 300 hp is way short. Boost will come in late and hard then you will be opening the waste gate to limit boost. Sell that kit and look into an AVO kit or something with a small turbo.

Take the car back to headers and tune, learn how to drive the car and get the most out of it. Sell the parts. Reliability is important.
