Turbo kit non intercooled and intercooled coming
I’m sure there is other companies that have a turbo kit in the works. I happen to find this company that isn’t well known. I’m sure someone will find this interesting. (Yes there is a driving segment). I’m curious to see the limitations of these engines and the conservative hp longevity setups. (Like I have money to do this ha ha)

the ecu was just recently cracked, if any of the major brands are in development, it's going to be some time for their verification process on the tunes and parts before it's made public

but new gr86 looks like more rescaled and in full time closed loop as HKS sells its supercharger kit that is compatible with stock ecu and that s pretty cool |

Non-intercooled? Is this 1984?

That's what caught my eye. On a high compression engine... Maybe can get away with 3psi of boost? I guess that's better than the stock vacuum, but would it be worth the expense and hassle?
Honestly, turboing a Subaru NA engine when their turbo engines have been available to us for decades feels like taking a time machine back to the Impreza 2.5RS days. If you really want a turbo Twin why would this be preferable to swapping in a 2.5T STi engine? |

I'm curious to know what three PSI properly done would get you compared to a properly done header and tune.

Honestly, I've had high hp streetcars and used to track sportbikes. Bonkers amount of HP gets really old quickly. Because you can never use it unless you're one of those bozo's that's get on the highway at night for "roll races." I think the stock 22+ engines are just fine on the street with the extra torque and midrange. But the extra HP/TQ Delicious made with a header and E85 would be really tasty. IIRC, they bumped it all the up to a 245whp peak. That's really close to the 10:1 weight:HP ratio.

Bonkers hp does get old quickly… gets old quickly when it attacks your wallet randomly. I too agree about intercooler especially with that compression ratio. I feel the stock power level/gearing is perfectly matched…. Cost per dollar n/a isn’t worth modding for hp… the turbo route will cost 1/3+ the total cost of vehicle but I will sure watch others spend their money and watch videos on it.

I'm not so sure about NA modding not being worth it Delicious added like 35whp and chunk of tq with E85 and a header. That's a pretty decent dollar:hp ratio.
