It does to some extent..

Thats why The Japanese tilt it to allow air flow to The radiator/intercooler..it gives The car that JDM look..

Met up with Kinzo to grab a bracket from him.

his car is nice lookin with the cool plates

after that i went and grabbed me some lunch where i couldnt resist

then it was off to autozone to get a basic holder cause it dont look right without it when i notice something pretty in the parking lot. i tried to park as far from it as i could then someone else pulls up next to me

and with plate on

luckly i was able to use the holes that were drilled in my bumper by the dealer. covers that up real nice. Looks good thanks Kinzo

now i just need that 86 plate i seen in the video's and it will be complete.

Will there be issues with this license plate mount if my car goes through a car wash?

I don't think there will any issues. It mounts on pretty solid. My WRX buddy has the mount and runs it through the car wash with no problems.

I don't recommend a mechanical car wash. It could be harsh on the paint. I recommend rinseless car wash by DP detail pros Autogeeks.com. Have you looked into opticoat? It is permanent paint protection. Pricy though.

The mount should be fine through the car wash. Hope this was helpful.
