is anyone's frs competely free of the issues that seem to be popping up

the most worrying ones are the fluttering idle rpm where it dips down when you stop.

the check engine lights coming on after a small amount of miles

and the clunk from the clutch.

i test drove a manuel transmission frs about 2 weeks ago and noticed it dip the rpm's at a stop light and heard the clunk from the clutch.

looking at the forum these issues seem pretty wide spread... and there are others (crickets for example)

yes, i know it comes with a warranty, but having to take your new car in for warrenty work gets old and inconvenient fast. not to mention i don't wouldnt want the dealer techs messing around in a new engine they don't know yet.

just wondering if its even possible to get a completely trouble free frs or if they are all coming in with issues.

I dont seem to have any issues....the chirping is proably due to the gas. But but car doesnt have the gremlins that you guys are experiencing. I also drive my car spiritly as well, have over 1700 miles.

Only issue I've had is the crickets after a very long and fun 300 mile trip.

None of the other issues, but then again I have an automatic.

I haven't got mine yet, but I assume stuff like this would be corrected at the factory as Toyota receives more and more reports of these issues.

i'm guessing they will be too, but i think they're in the stage of figuring out what is causing it before making any changes.

the car i test drove 2 weeks ago had just come in, had 50 miles on the odo and in my 15 minute test drive i heard the transmission clunk when i went into 1st, and saw the rpm's dip down at a stop light.

so the cars coming in do still seem to have a chance to have these issues.

i know you usually only read about the bad things online, just checking how many people actually have a trouble free car.

i don't like feeling like it's a gamble when i'm about to buy a new car.

I've had no issues with my car yet. I'm at around 2600 miles now, approximately.

Same Here I put some Ams Oil Injector Conditioner and chirps went away, I usually use 91 Shell, best we can get here in Santa Fe, NM. Waiting on DRL ecu exchange and that it , o yeah my glass has these funny circles from an angle and the paint is as thin as paper , but so far so good for a 1st run production platform introduction.

coming to a forum to assess quality control is not a good idea. nobody starts a post to say "hey, nothing wrong with my car"

Pretty much.

Since I don't consider the "crickets" a thing it doesn't go on the list.

Everything is A-OK.

I know why though. Mine's Hot Lava. They're just built better! :P
