Has anyone seen this done to an 86?

I saw this Z with actual flared fenders (not a body kit) at a car show in San Diego and thought "why haven't I seen an 86 like this?". I think every body kit I've seen for this car looks stupid. I've tried searching a ton of different terms, but only come up with bolt on kits. Is there some search term I'm not thinking of? How do you find pics of an 86 with actual flared fenders?!?Name: 20181229_131727.jpg

That does look better than a bolt on kit IMO. I think the reason you don't see this is the associated cost.

Looks like a body kit to me. It just looks molded. Anyone can mold a wide body kit.

For clarification, these aren’t rolled fenders. You can buy fender flares for the 86 or get your fenders rolled. It is more expensive of course than riv-nutting the new over-fenders to the fenders.

The other option is replacement front fenders like Seibon’s 10mm wider front fender that replaces the whole front fender. There are also rivetless body kits.

Was literally gonna say this.
Someone around here has a molded RB V1 kit.

I'm sure Ulterior Motives makes a metal fender flare that could get close to that.

There was a twin for sale a while back that had the rear end widened by a body shop and I can't remember how much but it looked amazing. I don't think they used any metal fender flares but maybe? I'll try to find it...

Here it is: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141488

Subtle for sure.

Yup - looks absolutely factory, but apparently can fit 275's (!) without issue.

It did say in the post that they were metal flares. That's some super clean work to blend into the factory body lines like that.
