Factory 215 sport 4 on 8.5 inch rim.

I came across a decent deal locally on a set of 18x8.5 and want to reuse the factory Michelins that came on the Gen2 cars. I know they will look pinched but i don't want to sell and rebuy tires. Is this safe? I mean i will be hooning on the street and possibly take it to the track.

Thanks.

I answered your question in the other thread. You just gotta check the specs for the tire on the mfg. website.

215/40-18 is good on 7" to 8.5" wheels, so you're fine. 225/40-18 might look better though...
