Pedal Shift / Extender Kit

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone has attempted to install any of the first gen pedal shifter kits onto the second gen.

I've been having long term foot injury issues and my podiatrist has forced me to go with shoes that make it tricky to heel toe in (turns out I've always been wearing a shoe that's too short for me but my width is fine). I find the second gen brake + gas pedal gap and depth means I'm VERY awkwardly twisting my leg to get proper brake pedal modulation whilst blipping the gas with my heel.

I was looking at the Verus Throttle Spacer kit: https://www.ftspeed.com/part/00a-xxx...t#.Yp8CEKjMI2w

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.

Kev

I've been looking at the SRPracing pedal kit, for all of them. The accelerator has a nice extension and the entire set is customizable. You can also get just the accelerator, if that's all you want.

I went with the cuzco pedal cover which gives you more surface on the brake side and a tad more height. It works well for me, though I use more of a left-right technique then actual heel-toe. I have not tried a spacer kit, though I do wonder how that would compare.

Had these on my 13 FRS and 18 BRZ and loved them. Could heel-toe in flip flops.

I'm pretty sold on a set of these. I like that you can get them in different patterns and treads. I'm probably going with either the grid or bock tread in all black.

+1 for the Cusco pedal cover, works super well for me, but I also do more of a right-side-of-my-foot-blip, rather than a full heel movement. Adds a bit of height and some width.

I put some black grip tape over mine, as the full chrome finish didn't match the other pedals. Also requires no drilling, so super easy to revert to stock if needed.

I've also used the Cusco pedal cover on all 3 of my cars. Almost impossible to heel/toe without it (for me anyways). The SRP pedal covers are nice, but Cusco pedal cover is cheap and doesn't require any drilling (for throttle pedal).

I had the Verus pedal spacer on my gen1 car.
After I got comfortable with heel-toe I removed it and found that I can heel-toe better on stock pedals
