Going into 1st Gear Clunkyness
Does anyone notice this or have this extra bit of clunkyness when you go from neutral into 1st gear? It doesn't happen with any other gears.

drivetrain noise? yes I hear it, sometimes I hear the rear diff too when engaging 1st. My STI did the same thing.
How many miles do you have? |

Mine does, especially if the trans is still really cold. Mostly notice it in 1st and 2nd.

Yes.
It's not awful for the price point. I haven't been disappointed by it. It still works fine.

I suggest you push the clutch all the way to the floor ..... pause for a second or two, then push the shift lever into first gear position.
That gives the thingies time to slow down/speed up/align - hell I don't know, ask @Ultramaroon.

Yeup. Also for my first gen i swear it took about 20k miles for the transmission to break in
