Question Divx VOD

Has anyone else been having trouble registering their BRZ with divx? I installed the program on my computer and that's when I had my first problem/realization that this would be difficult. I couldn't even get to the menu option to register a divx device until I played a video with divx and skipped to about half way into it.

Now should something have changed in my car? I no longer have the screen showing me my device code and only have a screen showing "register and deregister" and they are both greyed out.

Talk about first world problems but I just want to watch movies in my car like every normal person, right?

Update:

After some more screwing around with the system/my flash drive I managed to get the video I had on the USB drive to show up in the video section within the USB menu. Once I chose the video I got a window saying "Reading INDEX X%". It got up to 17% and froze.

I deleted the 1.6gb movie clip and loaded on a 5XXmb video instead. Now it just went straight to the "Reading INDEX" screen without any selection. It goes to 6% and then freezes. When I restart my car (I feel like I'm working on a PC here) the nav screen doesn't come on. Takes a second retry for that.

Very clueless right now.

Any further info on this? I get this with some movies, seems to be a size threshold that we're hitting. I've played files at around 800K no problem, but this one I tried was 1.4M and it froze on the index message.
