ARE TRD LOWERING SPRINGS GOOD?
Ive been looking for some decent lowering springs, and im currently stuck between the skunk 2 lowering springs and the trd ones, but I just want to know more about the trd springs, are they good? Hows normal driving as a DD, still smooth like oem, or a lil stiffer? How do they handle turns and the occasional back road? I cant teally find any in depth answers any where...

They lower gud, just about as gud as any other lowering spring.
Also TRD-USA lowering springs are made by Eibach, a big OEM. The TRD springs are comparable to the Eibach Pro spring kit for the car. They are moderate as far as lowering springs go (~1.0" drop), so they are stiffer to accommodate that. However, the Eibach Pro line (and by extension the TRD springs) usually try to strike a balance between ride comfort and lowering, so your quality of life shouldn't suffer while being able to enjoy sharper response. |

The TRD lowering springs are good for a couple reasons; they were designed to be easy to slip in and not require an alignment afterward. They don't affect the ride quality the way coilovers would. If you want a stiffer suspension, get thicker sway bars. TRD makes some decent swaybars for our cars. Good luck!

I had them on my 2nd FRS, still gave a decent ride and the drop was nearly perfect just needed a little more poke :p
