They are a multi-layer adhesive foil laminate emblem. They're placed on top of the factory center caps.

OMG those are gorgeous! I would be so down to buy a set provided they can be removed. Im leasing my 86 just in case my wife pops out a set of twins or something and Im forced to drive a mini van.
