Smoke

I’m afraid of the answer.

I’m at the track right now ~100 miles from home.

Car is Edelbrock sc w injectors/fp and E85.

The O2 is unplugged for the delicious box.

I finished a session. Felt no issues, car didn’t over heat. Got down to 1/16th of tank and filled it with same fuel it ran. App says it’s 81% ethanol.

I started it and it blew a thick condensation smoke. There were p0010 0020 (camshaft PS A) and 0030 0040.

Best case scenario, the fuel tank I refilled with last night was outside and it got almost freezing and the hydrophilicity of the fuel got some water in it?

Once again we are back to color of smoke. Black=Fuel, Blue=Oil, White=Water. White and blue are similar look but different smell. From there we can narrow it down. Water if fuel is wishful thinking.

Since supercharged my first guess is head gasket.

I maintain it was the 5 gal >40° jerry can of E85 I put in an empty tank. No more steam. New phenomena for me.

I lost my sense of smell in a traumatic brain injury. My ability to discern if it was coolant is inhibited. Freaks me out sometimes. Had an apartment on fire in my building and I totally couldn’t smell any smoke. Can’t tell if there’s some volatile reagent in a lab or bathroom. Plus I still retaining a decent note on this thing doesn’t help the worry.

Ouch. You'll probably need a low mileage long block. I wouldn't go the rebuild route.

refill with proper fuel, run the tank through, clear the codes, and take a breath.

issues re-appear. flukes don't.

I had to do that on the way home as there was no E85 available. No smoke/excessive amount of water vapor.

Coolant levels have been static.
