Engine Harness swap

Good day,

I would like to know if I can swap the engine harness from a 17-19 into a 2013 GT86. I seem to have a cam issue, but it only throws the codes when at idle. Once driving and the code cleared it stays off. I know sometimes this can be caused by the wiring harness so want to know if I have to use a older harness, or if the newer harness will work.

I do realise that the coil pack plugs are different, but is the rest the same?

G

You can use a 15'-16' engine harness and coil packs, but not the 17'+ engine harness. There are a lot of changes on the facelift cars besides just the harness. The crank trigger is totally different and I don't believe the pre-17' ecu can read it and you can't use your current crank trigger with that harness along with a few other issues.

You might want to look into why you have a "cam issue" and what codes they are. VVT solenoids went through a lot of versions and you can use the 2017+ ones in 2013 without a harness swap. Check the cam sensor as well as the VVT first
