Over bumps in the road, the rear makes a clunking noise. Nothing in the trunk. It's not the exhaust. Am I likely looking at replacing the rear struts?

Can be many things. Does it make the noise when you push on the rear bumper with the trunk open? Please post a video.

No noise when i push down on the bumper.

Upon inspection the pass rear strut is very wet/leaking. Good chance it's the cause? Even if it's not the strut is shot. Being a 2013, I figure it's time for all four struts. I'll replace them and see where I am after that.

Who makes a decent strut for a non-tracked car?

That's probably it.

Bilstein B6 is a good choice.

Would inspect your top mounts front and rear as well as front control arm bushings if your car is getting up there in mileage. Endlinks and swaybar bushings too.

I've been happy with Bilstein in other vehicles. I'll look them up.
I'm at 50k miles on the BRZ.
Yes, good idea to check the rest while I'm under there.
By top mounts you mean the top mounts of the struts? Is there something specific to look for there? Rust or.....

Yup top mounts for the front struts and rear shocks. They're probably okay with 50k miles but I'd still have a look for any play in the front mount bearings (if you have them off the car) or separating rubber or excessive rust. Rear's don't go bad very often but if they're rusty and junky they're not very expensive.

We do sell Bilsteins and ship to Canada, but I don't know if there's an easier way to get them locally for you.

We usually have them in stock, but I think there's a shortage at the moment and we may be fresh out as well.

Check your bolts on the anti roll bar mounting brackets. One of mine had come lose and was causing a clonking when going our bumps.

Ya, the cost of shipping across the border gets stupid sometimes. Not too long ago I ordered a 25$ part for my Challenger, 15$ shipping and a 30$ fee for paperwork at the border. UPS called it brokerage fees. I stay away from UPS now.

As a follow up, replacing the struts eliminated the 'clunking' noise.
The DIY's on this site were very helpful, having never replaced a strut before. Especially explaining how a spring compressor is not needed to replace the struts on these cars. My other stuff is too old to have struts...lol
