BRZ Limited vs BRZ tS MPG Disparity ???

On the Sub website, BRZ limited MPG 33/24 vs BRZ tS 27/20. Why is there such a large difference? Are the cars equipped differently that would affect mileage so radically??

Is that limited a manual or auto? The auto's get much better millage and have a 4.1FD vs the 4.3 the manual limited and TS have.

The wing on the TS will drop millage a bit due to drag.

We are talking about a 20-22% difference in mileage. While the auto final drive makes the engine spin about 4.8% slower, I doubt that makes the big difference in gas mileage. Difference due to tire must also be nearly negligible. Something doesn't sound right with these mileage figures given in the specs.

The auto trans also has taller gearing besides the FD.

No it's not quite accurate, but honestly, this car has a pretty big mpg variance between the people that drive it. There's people on this forum who average 32-34 mpg. I tend to get 29-31. Some get 20-24. It all depends on where you live and how you drive.

Car and Driver got 32mpg going 75 on highway. But only 23 average if I understand the other figure correctly, and that's probably due to them winding it around a good bit.

Isn’t the ts heavier due to brakes, suspension etc? Couple in tires and aero drag?

I got 30-32 in my 2013 limited and my ts is probably 23-26max. I attribute it to the 4.3 change and less highway miles.

Yeah i'd say those two things you mention are the most massive affects in changing the average mpg's for this platform. That, and driving style of course.

I have the 2018 with a 4.3 and still average 29-31mpg. This is due to me running 80% highway miles. The days I reset the mpg and drive around local roads for a while, it easily tanks down to 24-25mpg.

I am sure all of those things are too miniscule to consider any major changes in mpg. I can throw my girlfriend and kid in my car and the weight goes up at least 150lbs, but I don't really see any changes in my mpg average on trips, at least nothing noticeable enough.
